An Immersion in Art and Culture at the Medieval Days of San Marino
This year, the Historic Center of San Marino transforms into a living stage for the 27th edition of the Medieval Days, promising an event rich in culture, art, and entertainment that brings medieval traditions spectacularly to the forefront.
A Mosaic of Artisan Art and Live Demonstrations
The Medieval Days stand out for their ability to connect visitors with the deep roots of medieval culture through static demonstrative activities scattered throughout the historic center. Don’t miss the chance to see master craftsmen at work in the evocative setting of the Giardino dei Liburni, where figures like the Norman hunter, the apothecary, and the bookbinder will showcase their centuries-old skills. Heraldic writing and wood carving will be just some of the demonstrations that offer participants a dive into daily medieval life.
Prepare to explore an authentic medieval castle reconstructed in meticulous detail. You can also discover the mysteries of minting and admire the craftsmanship of goldsmiths and blacksmiths, while fortune tellers, iridomancers, and numerologists offer a fascinating look at medieval divinatory practices.
The historic center will also come alive with itinerant artists filling the squares and streets with their energy. From Fabius the Jester to minstrels, from stilt walkers to children's theater, every corner of the historic center of San Marino will be a stage for performances that will delight both young and old. Among the international guests, Fanfarenzug Otteinrich from Germany will bring a touch of musical mastery, while the flag-waving groups will showcase their skills in breathtaking flag games.
These Medieval Days are not just an event but a living celebration of medieval history and culture, designed to leave every visitor amazed and enriched. From July 26 to 28, join us for a timeless adventure in the picturesque Republic of San Marino.
